George W. Dunne National Golf Course

George W. Dunne National, located in Southwest suburban Oak Forest, recognized by Golf Digest as one of the top public courses, GWDN is the Forest Preserve Golf Cook County’s premier 18-hole course.  Operated by Troon Golf, the Forest Preserve Golf Cook County chose to roll the premier golf course into the industry's premier USGA bunker sand, our USGA (United States Golf Association) approved “Double Diamond” bunker sand.  The renovation selected a capillary concrete bunker liner for drainage technology, along with Thelen’s USGA bridging stone around drain tile and under the bunker liner.  Along with new state-of-the-art bunkers, a newly constructed chipping green was built utilizing Thelen’s USGA Green’s Construction Mix.
