North Central College

Thelen Golf & Sports was proud to partner with Sportsfields, Inc and North Central College in Naperville, IL, to enhance their premier Shanower Family Field, home to Cardinal Women’s Softball.  As a school known for its highly competitive athletic programs and "Cardinal" pride, North Central required an infield surface that matched their high standards for performance, safety, and aesthetics. This inaugural project utilized our new ProStep Elite Infield Mix, a premium infield solution specifically engineered for the demands of high-level softball and baseball infields in which have access to the necessary irrigation and maintenance as required of an elite infield playing surface.  This product is engineered with a premium USGA sand mechanically blended with a pure native brown clay designed to meet the Hummel infield guidelines intended for premium athletic complexes, high school, collegiate, semi-pro and pro infield surfaces.
